What don't you like about your S-Class!?

The idle smoothness issue may be related to motor mounts going out? I'm not sure, but mine is so smooth, I sometimes think that the auto start/stop has turned off the engine.
What I dislike about the W222 after only owning the car for about 10 months, very minor gripes:
Magic Vision wiper blades do a terrible job cleaning windshield, the water just doesn't sit on windshield long enough before the wipe, therefore bugs smeared and worsen. You can eventually clean it off, but having used up a lot of fluid. It is nice that it doesn't splash water though.
Dual Zone climate "sync" setting keeps changing to un-sync for whatever reason. I'm not sure why, it's sync'd most of the time but sometimes it randomly gets un-sync'd and I'd have to go back into the menus to change it back.
Digital gas gauge is only percentage (I prefer a needle going to E), I even had mine changed to gallons, but I tend to not notice the gas getting low until I get a warning on dash.
Quality of the door panel area, right above arm rest area, feels hollow and flimsy when you tap on it, also flimsy when you press on it. It looks durable, but does not feel like it. Just doesn't match the rest of the car's build quality.
No good area for a phone mount, I use a cupholder type phone mount and therefore lose a cupholder. I don't like windshield or vent mounts.
GPS performance on smartphone, when in the vehicle. For some reason this car just blocks so much GPS signal, unless the phone is near the center dash. If it's in my pocket, the GPS is all over the place. Doesn't happen in other cars I've owned. My speculation is the windshield's and car's radio frequency blocking nature.

Her IPhone X gets a terrible signal in my S65. No surprise I get to hear about that when she rides along. Lol. I have the same phone using the same apps and it works fine.
I have a subscription at the local car wash that uses a barcode guy that is supposed to be able to be read by the magic on the pole.
Works great with sticker inside her Toyota’s windshield. Even on outside of windshield is unreadable for AMG Crack.

Like was said trunk is small especially with the Chauffeur package and 3d audio. Don’t end of the car very low and easy to hit curbs. I generally raise the car up some if I gotta pull in all the way. Other than those things great car. Super comfortable like no other car I’ve owned.

For me, my issues are as follows:
* Rattles in front passenger door panel
* Rattles in B pillar when driving over severely uneven ground
* Rattles in sunroof vent area
* Rattles in rear deck area
* That insane rattle behind the instrument cluster which sounds like a chirp
* The fact that all these rattles are 10X louder on cold days when ambient temperatures are below 10C
All of these annoyances are quickly forgotten whenever some brainless person drives through a stop sign and I have to take an evasive maneuver with my family in the car, and I quickly realize that this giant vehicle has just successfully executed a Porsche GT1 style maneuver with pride.
I wish they would just apply a bit more effort on the interior trim such as to minimize interior rattles. It might also be nice to start using aluminum again instead of plastic, for things that endure thermal stress. Of course if they made the cars more reliable, they wouldn't break as much, which in turn would result in less profit for them. Gone forever, are the days of W126 where quality was paramount.
I generally appreciate the stability of the chassis under difficult driving conditions.

Got S560 about a month ago and I stopped driving other cars so far lol
Amazingly comfy car to put miles on.
With that said, a few "hmm" points I've noticed
- my car doesn't have rear HVAC option and maybe that has to do with it, but no matter how much I crank up in the front, the air flowing out the rear middle and side vents is non-existent. The vents are fully open, but there's VERY little air, so much so I made an appointment at dealer to check out.
- the heat is very cool. I put it to 80 and it feels semi cold still.
- passenger seat makes chipping noise when the ventilated fan is on high.
- downshifts are noticeable (seems common issue/design)
This is my first S, but myself and my family come from a long line of MB products, and there's very big step up from E to S.

I feel bad publishing any complaints, it is such a great car and some of these are unique to me ...
1) Clunky downshifts
2) Should have at least a spare tire of some kind
3) Bizarre/incomprehensible UI for the CD changer
4) Steering wheel blocks top of the speedometer, tach, outside temp and turn signal indicators when seat and wheel are at ideal settings for comfort
5) Poor UI for satellite radio, only reasonable way I've found to go from station 10 to 100 is with the 'Station Number' voice command. Much better solution in my Honda ... have a preset every 20 stations or so and then tune from closest preset to the desired station (e.g. go to 60 using a preset and then to 66 for 'Watercolors')
6) Just a preference ... first car I've ever had with a trunk opener. Would prefer a trunk release ... why have the lid jump up full open if it's raining or someone is standing over it?

Tom have you had Peter (BenzNinja) perform the transmission additional modes software update?
I'm enjoying sport mode now where previously it was.... meh.
Sport + is a bit much for my taste.

Whistling sunroof at 125mph. Bluetooth audio issues when my wife is in the car with her iPhone. Mine just hangs when connecting then. I can echo the small trunk. Not too much currently. I do think the car could be quieter on the inside.

What's this with "small trunk" stuff? What are unable to get into it?

The trunk isn’t huge, but it’s also not small. It’s not smaller than the trunks in my Lexus LS sedans for instance.

I’ve never experienced either of those issues. Not sure why you would knock on that particular part of the door.

At 1:24 is the door panel flimsiness I'm talking about:

Also the plastic underneath the passenger seat also rattles when the road is bumpy to a certain frequency..

You know, some time back a few years, I was driving around in our longed-for Bentley with a dealer mechanic checking out something that I had asked to have looked at.
As we drove, I was expressing some dissatisfaction about having to get into the specific situation, and the mechanic quietly said to me, "You know, Mr. no matter what you paid for this car, it was put together by people. Things happen."
And that translated, at an anti-union employee communication/discussion meeting into "If people are involved, mistakes will be made."
