Coolant levels visually full but warning light says low - thoughts?

Runs at 190/200*.

Bad sensor? Easy swap?

Thanks.

Sensor or reservoir, start with sensor but it's likely the reservoir.

Reservoir as in leak? Visually both are at full level.

With two reservoirs, one is for turbos and one the motor? I should know this.

Thanks

The reservoir contains the answer to how that sensor that does not get wet can tell the level.

Got it.

Hope you survived all the rain and ducked the twisters.

Thanks, luckily it has not been too bad over here but the season is still young.

Had this issue and my reservoir had a slight leak. Replaced and the message is gone. Also, be sure to check your intercooler reservoir (in the middle under the engine cover) once in a while... recently learned that there is not a sensor for that tank.

There are 2 coolant tanks. I intentionally slightly overfilled and no more warnings.

other option is failing sensor. Mine never overheated or put water on the garage floor.

I also cleaned both pressure caps/necks.

The other part of the sensor is in the tank, for recurring issues change the tank.

The disconnect is right there on top but the actual sensor is in the tank
