I just purchased a 2019 S560 with the AMG package and am awaiting delivery. I see the car has “side skirts” but they are body colored (ruby black). Are they available in chrome from MB? Anyone have a part number? Was chrome reserved for S63 or S65’s? Here’s a pic of what I’m seeing aftermarket:

Yes, chrome was reserved for the 63 and 65. The OEM parts are very expensive...I would go aftermarket, what have you found? I have considered this too.

Only finding a couple listings on eBay. One is $300 another is $999.

I’m waiting until I actually receive the car (obviously! lol), and will decide then what to do, if anything. Shipping the car to me has been delayed from the out of state dealer due to them waiting on an interior trim piece coming from Germany, and I’m getting antsy :-)

Thanks for the congrats and saying I will love the S560. I just sold my 2009 SL63 and changed gears big time to go with a very well equipped S560. Getting older and finding myself making a few noises getting out of the SL! On paper, the 560’s 0-60 and 1/4 mile times are just as fast as the SL, which I was surprised to find!

I just had an accident with my A217 Cabrio and they have to replace that part on mine. I know it’s not the same exact part but they had to order new. And of course none available in the states has to come from Germany $2200

maybe I misunderstood are you talking about just chrome strip? Because I’m talking about the the whole plastic piece including the chrome strip

Just the chrome strip is what the OP and I were talking about.

The part numbers are A2226948282, A2226947982, A2226948082, A2226948182

If you put those numbers into an online MB Parts Center the cost is not bad
