2018 S560 4Matic. Auxiliary Battery Malfunction popped up on dash this yesterday then went away. What is the cause of the issue? IS this something I can perform and are there instructions somewhere?
I have the same car. Changed it myself last time it went and was not easy. Burried in the trunk on the right side rear fender well. It’s a small motorcycle like looking battery. Next time I’ll try to get someone to do it.
Dealer charges a ton but I took it for a last pre-paid service and thought maybe the extended warranty would cover. It was $500 from the crooks my indy woudl have done it for half. Lesson learned and I never go back to the dealers unless I am using the my extended warranty

Exactly, $500 for my dealership to replace back in 2019 on my '08 S550. Your extended warranty however does not apply to batteries, it is a wear/maintenance item.
