Brake callipers
Hello,
Since my brake callipers were changed by Mercedes, the new ones were missing the logo plate, and it looks ugly…,do you know how to order this plate?
here is how it looks now:
and how it should look (and probably how yours is looking), there is an additional plate with the logo…. I wonder how to get it, it does not even show on their own diagram parts….

WHY did MB do that? Was this warranty work? Did they tell you they were going to do this before hand? It’s hard to believe that the correct calipers were not available.

There is not separate plate. The MB logo is simply silk screened on. Looks like the one they put on was probably a reman unit and the finish was not restored during the process of reman. I would just clean them up and paint them. You can get the logo on ebay if you want and put it on the caliper but the proper way to do it is to mask off the caliper and clean it up and then paint it with a satin silver spray paint and then apply the logo sticker and then finish with a clear coat. It is a pretty easy project for a DIY if you have attention to detail on the masking and prep work.
