I removed the front license plate mounting and it has left 2 rough holes. Aside from the best fix, fill and repaint, I figure finding a couple plastic push-in fasteners would pass for now. So I’m searching for the smallest and flattest of these (usually Black) fasteners. If you had these same holes what did you windup doing? Does anyone have another idea?
My car is Anthresite Blue - I could paint these plugs once I can find some matching touch up paint. Mercedes-Benz has this touch up color on backorder for nearly two months coming from Stuttgart and it’s #26 on the matching color scale from PPG. I’ll wait and see how the $54 one half ounce touch up from MB looks - someday.
There are plenty of color suppliers on the internet much cheaper than Mercedes, Automotive touch up is one that I'm always using, their paint is always a perfect match.
I used those on one of my cars a few years ago and it blended in perfectly, nobody ever saw anything. Even when the bumper needed to be repaired the body shop didn't even notice. But my car was black so it blended bettr. I'm sure yours will look great once painted to match.
