TODAY’S MODELS EVEN “PERFORMANCE AMG” - there is now only basic Front and Rear TOE - “directional” adjustment !
HOW DID THIS COME ABOUT - all to do with cost cutting and ever increasing speed of new car assembly lines !
STOPPING - assembly line to adjust Front Camber and Caster along with Rear Camber is no longer an option. It is now one setting to suit showroom height conditions.
YET CAMBER AND CASTER ARE ESSENTIAL to adjust tire contact angles “spread load more evenly”.
Encountering in day to day commuting high cambered roads with excess passenger side edge wear or wear both sides through altered height / extra passenger loads. Or just having adjustment capability to cater for curb knock damage.
ONUS IS THEREFORE NOW BACK ON OWNERS TO FUND COSTLY PREMATURE TIRE REPLACEMENT !
AT K-MAC WE SAW THE NEED THEREFORE AND MANUFACTURE BOLT-ON “FRONT AND REAR” KITS THAT REQUIRE NO SPECIAL TOOLS OR NEED FOR CONTROL ARM REMOVAL TO INSTALL.
