DEPO Headlights Kind of Suck?

I had to replace my headlights on my W222 since the old ones had gotten water damage and needed replacing but that's not what I care about. The new headlights I got are DEPO headlights which look good but I know a couple of people on here have them and I want to know if anyone else has installed these because the headlights in my opinion suck - i've spent the past few days adjusting them up and down to the point that I broke the passenger side headlight adjuster which i'm annoyed about but that's my fault.

Anyone else ever install these? I have the conversion W222 for 2018+ but even the chinese headlights that came with the conversion kit were far better then these DEPO. When I had the chinese conversion headlights they still supported adaptive highbeam assist and after the water damage had messed them up and I replaced them with the DEPO ones i've suddenly lost them.

Anyone have an opinion on DEPO? Can I do anything about it? I need to reach out to Peter again but this past week i've been crazy busy but I wonder if he can code brightness to 120% or something

You got the cheapest headlights available they are made to look correct but road illumination is not their purpose.

Well I guess I’ll add some fact to your comment.

with the W222 conversion you can’t use OEM 2018+ S class headlights.. how do I know? Because when I did the conversion I had 6 headlights.. (2) were the original 2014-2017 OEM headlights, then the other (2) were the aftermarket headlights purchased with the conversion body kit and the last (2) were OEM 2018+ Genuine Mercedes Headlights which I later found out they do not connect to 2014-2017 headlight harness so luckily I had the (2) that were purchased with the body kit.

The DEPO headlights I would say are the most well known mainstream headlights for aftermarket so I wouldn’t say I got
the cheapest headlights. Quite frankly the money factor was and is the last of my concern

Spoiler

I mean, the factory headlights cost some $6k. I wouldn't expect Depo to have anything comparable.

I used their smoked tail lights on my '92 500E for a few years while I stored the originals, but that's another matter entirely. Eventually I got another pair of factory tails and happily retired the Depo.

Depo has always been focused on fads/trendy looks and being the cheapest alternative.
With headlights being as complex as they are now better get a used set and get the wiring re done for the facelift Frankenstein.
