Due to the winter blast we all are having now, my Gas door latch broke this morning at my fill up. I see this seems to be one peice of large plastic. However it looks like a pannel may have to come off to reach the gas door to come off. and replace the plastic peice. Any one have relpaced one of these before>?
***disregard, I found the issue. Due to the extream cold the Fuel filler door lock Actuator was stuck in the closed postiion. I had to manuallly move it to have it close right. However i may need a new Actuator soon, the spring tenssion is not moving as well as it should but it could be due to the cold.

I had a problem last year with the fuel door, really cold and it would not stay closed. After a few attempts then just holding it closed for a few seconds and it would latch. Yet another annoying cold weather problem with things staying closed.

It gets cold in Germany. One would think that a German car manufacturer would at least design the product to meet their home conditions.
