Power Stop pads

Received the power stop z26 pads today. Looks like there's no much pad on them. Is it because they're carbon ceramic?

Those look worn (used).

My Z23's looked nothing like that, having a full 10mm or so of material, and a square face (not worn an an angle as in your photo)

Where did you buy them? The ratio of pad to backing plat looks smaller than what I remember when I installed mine. I could be wrong, but those might be used. What does the backing plate look like? The paint should look brand new without any scratches.

I understand PowerStop customer support is quite helpful, perhaps try contacting them about the thickness when new?

Will do. Thanks for the tip. I've ordered inset from a different vendor to compare.

I put the same pads on about 2 months ago and I'm really happy with them. Same feel as factory, no squeaks and darn near zero dust in the barrels of the wheels.

Do remember if the pad thickness was the same as in the photos above?

I don't recall but looking at them on the car, they do have the tapered ends and appear to be close to 1/2" thick.

According to buy brakes.com the pad thickness should be 13.4MM. Scroll down to details under specifications.

Just spoke with Powerstop. They state that the pad thickness measured from the backing plate to the front end of the pad material should measure a minimum of 16MM., which it does.
