I assume it is exactly the same as the MBC on my S500, there is no on or off, it " just works ", but it disengages if you switch to sport mode I think. I keep mine in comfort all the time.
What is difficult to do is to not slow down or brake for speed bumps, just keep a steady speed to feel it work.
If you adjust speed or brake it does not seem to react.
It does not work in the dark as the cameras cannot read the road.

It is not off in sport, the suspension continues to operate, it will not however use road scan when in sport as emphasis is on body control and predictability for sport driving.

Thanks for that, that is kind of what I meant, , the road scan being non operable means the car performs like the "normal" version

Thanks for all the replies 🙂Take the opportunity to ask how to check the oil level on the MBC?Should the engine be running when checked?

Sorry cant help with that one. I have had the car serviced every year since I got it 6 years ago so if it had been done then I cannot remember.
I did have the pulsation damper replaced under used car warranty , I don't know if the system was drained to do that.

I think that it's always on by default.

Is best to check fluid level with engine running and at operating temperature.
Dipstick is black rubber cap on reservoir. Different fluid than used in 221 cars.

If you haven’t already.... suck the fluid out of the reservoir (I purchased an inexpensive battery operated pump to do this) and replace the filter. Easy. The bigger round cap on the reservoir comes off... clean it up with brake cleaner first. Remove the retaining clip. Twist while gently pulling the cap off. The filter comes right out. Buy the filter and fluid from MB. Three liters of fluid will be enough to change fluid in reservoir twice.

15-20 minutes work the first time you do it.
