W222 Engine Mounts
Has anyone got this done? My 2019 S560 4MATIC just had the left engine mount completely broken. I got a quote from my go to indy and he quoted me around $4100. My other go to indy told me roughly the same price about $4000 said it is about 23 hours of labor. I found a indy that only works on Mercedes Benz that is a little drive (4 hour drive away) with over 300 5 star reviews and they said they can get it done for $1400 parts and labor. For about $3000 cheaper it is for sure worth driving those 8 hours round trip to get this done. I just wanted to see if others got this done and they know how many hours of labor it ended up being.

I had the engine and transmission mounts replaced on my 2019 S560 4MATIC. My Indy said the job was way too complicated for him to do. I sent the car to the dealer and they took 7 business days to do the repair. The charge was about $4600. I would be suspicious of anyone that claimed that they can do the repair for $1400. The repair is much more complicated on a 4MATIC than a RWD S560, so they may be underestimating the job.

The mounts are $200 each so $1k of labor is a good price, an MB specialist is unlikely to underestimate the job as the 4matic engine mount annoyance is not new.

I agree. A lot of shops are giving quotes based off their service book which says 23 hours of labor. If I can't find anyone local to be near the shop that quoted me $1400 I am just going to have to drive 4 hours to save some money.

Luckily I was able to snag OEM Mercedes Benz mounts for $350 total and found a shop to install it for $1000. For some odd reason a the feedback I was getting from all these indy shops were all over the place. Some shops said it was about a 9 hour job others claimed it was a 23.5 hour job.

If the mounts break completely there is nothing holding the engine in place, this means risks to all connecting piping and chassis/engine housing damage.

I was willing to drive out hours if it meant to save a lot of more. I drove out about 10 hours (roundtrip) to get it done for $1350. All shops around me wanted 3-7k. My left mount was completely broken. I still drove it for a few months prior to getting it fixed as I was getting quotes to find the cheapest shop to get it done at.
