Part found on floor

Anyone have an idea of what this broken off black plastic hook shaped piece came from?

Its about 60mm [2.25"] long. No part numbers.

I found it on the driver side floor of our 2019 W222. It has silicone grease on it. Seats & steering column seem to work fine. Thanks !

Looks like a bear head haha.

Not sure if it came from another vehicle somehow?

I'm going to tell the wife that it came in stuck to her shoe if I can't ID it.

Broken hood release handle the car picked up and brought home as a toy for when parked in the garage.

That's the hook that holds your trunk floor to the trunk lid when you need to access the compartment under the floor.

I am glad this piece showed up. I have had that piece for two three years from our 2015 S550. I have the complete piece though. Everything seems to work fine without it, unless that is the magical part that doubles fuel milage or something!

Every time you work on your car, and have leftover parts, you confirm your qualifications as a master mechanic.
Your performance increases exponentially as does your fuel economy.

Hmm. No MB part number. Same casting failure area too. I'm betting seat component. Thanks for the reply.
