My dash temp is showing constant 82° even though I know it’s 94° outside, so I’m assuming the sensor is bad. It also doesn’t go up when it’s been parked on a hot balcony parking lot for 30 minutes. Does anyone know where it’s located on my 2016 S550 sedan.

I don't have a pic of he exact location for the S Class, but you should find it low down in the front bumper on the driver's side near the air intakes looking something like this as shown on my car. It's a pointy little thing in a recessed hole.
The ambient temp sensor on your 2016 S550 is usually behind the front bumper, near the lower grille or fog light area. Check for debris blocking it or a damaged wire. If it's stuck at 82°, the sensor itself is likely faulty common issue. Easy DIY replacement if you can access it.
