Heating and massage seat issue
Was gifted this 2015 S550 car and realized the heated and massage seats aren’t functioning. When activating the massage I can hear a subtle click but nothing gets moving. When trying to activate it on the passenger it switches from “Stop” back to “Start” within seconds. I tried activating heating seats but don’t feel any change in temperature to the seats. New to the car and not sure if I’m missing something here. Is this a common issue?

Currently ‘2015 S550 4matic. Previously 03 E320, ‘06 S430, ‘08 S550 4matic
Check the heated seat distribution (backrest and seat)settings. There may a setting that turns it all off. Not sure, but worth a look

Heated/massage seat issues in the W221 are common usually failing seat modules, wiring harness damage check under the seat, or pneumatic pump/motors for massage. Since you hear a click but no action, the control module might be sending signals, but motors/pumps could be dead. For heating, check seat thermostat and heating elements. Scan with Xentry/DAS for exact codes likely needs module repair or replacement. Start with a diagnostic before throwing parts at it.
