Seat Rail Lubrication?

The search function for this forum isn't as simple as a simpleton like me requires, so I'm starting a new thread to ask:

- Is there a recommended lubricant/interval for the front seat forward/back movement?

My driver's seat moves very quietly with nobody in the seat. WIth me in the seat, most of the time it's fine but sometimes it sounds like a spoon going down a disposal (although the seat continues movement).

I've checked the rails visually, and see no issues, but the whole system appears to be dry for a 'sliding system'.

Does anyone know if lubrication is required? Easy Entry/Exit feature is enabled, and this happens only infrequently, but I don't want to damage something to where I need to replace the seat hardware.

Thanks in advance for any info!

MB’s of all kinds.
For anything auto related I use Krytox. It’s expensive but works amazing! A little bit goes a long ways!

Check the tracks for debris and clean them. Use a dry PTFE lubricant on the rails avoid grease or oil. If it still grinds, the motor is likely failing and needs a pro.
