Rain Sensing Wipers
I know they worked before but didn't today. It doesn't rain a lot here so I'm not too concerned about it but would be nice if they did work.
Does the sensor go bad or is there a reset procedure that I can try? Haven't scanned for codes yet but reckon that would be first step.

Windshield has never been replaced.
Not sure what you mean about the stalk. Last month when it rained, 1st position sped up or slowed down along with the rain.
It didn't today.

Yes was wondering which position the stalk was on.
So on position 1, would the wipers never activate or seemed to activate at always the same interval?

Would need proper diagnostics but since the failsafe activated there a problem with the sensor or wiring.
