Benzninja does it again
2020 S560 Had engine light on. Showed module 58 and 59 codes. Not enough info. Had Peter from Benzninja look at it. Realized outside ambient temperature not showing because of bad probe. Saved me time and money of going to dealer. Great help.

Several options are available to choose from but after my research, Peter @BenzNinja was the best choice for complete service and modification support. He is the best out there and anyone who joins the club will be happy too.
I used him for several items and very satisfied with his work product. The big benefit is the complete Xentry system to do your own work at your own pace. All the WIS documents are worth the price of membership alone.

Today Peter helped with figuring things out in my car after replacing the charge cooling pump.
He is exceptional with navigating Xentry. We got to examine wiring diagrams, locations for fuses, actuations. Good stuff. As always; learned a lot.

Why you ask?
Intermittent lack of power when asking for full power; once with a follow-up code for high intake air temperatures.
No codes for the pump; but over 150,000 miles on it and is a common enough failure that the dealership stocks it.
I asked Peter for help when actuations in Xentry would not let me turn the pump on to verify operation. During the process I learned that the 279 uses a pulse width modulated charge cooling pump. Variable speed. This is a change from 220/221 cars. In the display for engine management that shows all the information in real time we found one for charge cooling, clicked on it as the engine warmed up. It displayed 14% of capacity and clearly coolant was moving in the reservoir between the charge coolers. A test drive verified full power is available. I will know this week if it is fixed. So far so good.
I sure am glad to have a membership with Peter. He is very knowledgeable helpful... He is the real deal. Still loving intelligent lighting years later.

Good to hear Peter got you sorted. Those ambient temp sensors are a classic gremlin. They fail often and can cause all sorts of weird secondary codes. Glad you avoided the dealer trip.

I recently joined the BenzNinja Club and got everything set up. Man! Launching the EPC/WIS is superfast. I'm using a Lenovo ThinkPad X260 refurbished from Amazon and put extra memory in it. After installing the SSD from Peter, he connected to my laptop remotely and set everything up. I've used EPC/WIS before from copies I got off eBay, but this is so much faster and smoother. When I get a chance, I'm going to hook everything up to my car and run a scan with Xentry.
Xentry is a little different and takes a little time to get comfortable with it as this system is very powerful and can take a wrong turn if you don't know what your doing in some areas. I have had a snap-on scanner for years and use it for all of my domestic vehicles and also have a Carly I use on my SO's Beemer. When I got my MB I did my research looking for a serious scanner and learned about Xentry. I joined this forum and was lucky enough to find post about coders like BenzNinja (and others) and pulled the trigger on Peter's system. Looking back over the past year it has been a very wise choice and I love using the system.
Have fun. I have lost myself for hours at a time diving into all those documents.
Also, you might want to change your signature before you get disciplined like many of us have been recently by the moderators.
Another coder complained about all the post on the forum with a signature indicating that we are a ''Happy BenzNinja Club Member'' and the mods said it was advertising and not allowed.
