No trunk emblems

Hey ppl, it's "clean look" time!
I guess they don't care about all those fancy trunk emblems anymore.
From all the pics and YT videos I've seen, I haven't seen one with the badges, so...

No more MB:(
I'm sure the badges will come with all models. Most all pictures so far are of non-market cars.

Sure thing, but in the meantime they're showing-off the "clean look" everywhere, which - correct if I'm wrong - haven't happened before.

Maybe because those numbers don't mean anything anymore.

Remember the 450 SEL 6.9?

Ah, those were the days!

Do you just not understand that they're pre-production cars and that the model designation is largely irrelevant?

Besides, when I picked my S550 up, they asked if I wanted it de-badged so it is entirely possible to see production cars without them. I guess in Europe they have people trying to hide what type of car it is because most are not the long wheelbase models like here and it makes them "less ostentatious". I'm paraphrasing the guy in the COE.

Indeed quite a lot of people tend to order de-badged their cars for conservative reasons and to gain less attention no matter the specs.

Well, it depends...
In Germany, the majority of S-Classes are de-badged. Anecdotally I would place that rate at 90% while the US it would be maybe at 1% or less.

Most debadge abroad because they are probably running smaller engines. S350, I see you!

Interestingly in Germany it is also the opposite. The S-class is primarily a business car and driving a high-end model would be perceived as a potential negative by customers..

Correct, more so in Eastern Europe. I can't tell you how many 600's I've seen over the years. If they were all real, there would be non anywhere else.
