Can anyone tell me or show me the difference between these 2 Black colors please?

There are some pics out there of Onyx looking like it has a brownish tint. Is that the case???

 

Wonder if anyone has seen the color in the flesh yet. My guesstimate would be a similar color to the prior Designo mocha black...

 

Yes the Onyx has a brown tint to it that shows more under direct sunlight. The Obsedian is a really dark grey color, not quite black but looks black until you have it beside a black one.

Obsidian black are pure black, while onyx black comes with metallic shine like turn to color like dark brown, I went for obsidian black looks more royal and beast.

 

obsidian (040) is also a metallic

Go with Onyx, if you're spending that much money on a new car, it better not look like a Limo and should stand out in the best possible way.
Obsidian is outstanding but way too common.

 

FWIW, I took this pic of my Obsidian black C63 a while back that shows Obsidian in different lights. It goes from a deep shiny black if the sun doesn't shine to sort of a charcoal in the sun. Very much like an obsidian. I think it's a great color. The brown tint wouldn't be my cup of tea.
