That is great on the 7.5% off MSRP. Hopefully that is locked down in writing or you have a good business relationship with the MB dealer. It will be interesting to see what MB dealers will actually sell the 2021 S classes for since inventory is very low for new cars.
The C8 Corvette is an amazing car. I did Museum delivery at the end of May 2021 at Bowling Green. I have put over 2000 miles on the Vette already and can attest that it is the best value of any sports car on the market today at MSRP. I bought my Vette from Kerbeck (now Ciocca) which is the largest Vette dealer in the US (World). In my local area some dealers wanted $30k over MSRP so I went with Kerbeck/Ciocca.

With the Autoworkers strike, COVID, lack of help Kerbeck a large dealer with a good reputation did what they could. They usually (in the past) gave a pretty good discount. I've had seven Vette's in my life and do miss them but sometimes father time can deal you a bad hand, you just live with it and move on. This was a deal the dealer presented to me, they also gave me close to Bluebook for my trade, yes, I do have a sale contract stating the same. I went on a New York Mercedes website, I think they have 40 S580 coming in, I think 38 are sold. I don't think you'll need it but good luck anyway on the Vette!.
Does anyone know the delivery date for the 2021 s class on the east coast? I was first informed the 15th a week ago but I’m not sure if anyone has more recent news?

Said his boss is telling them to call all their S class customers to confirm if the deal is still a go because they are about to start transporting the cars to the dealerships. Mine was ordered in September 2020, built in May 2021 and been sitting at the port in GA since end of May awaiting shipment. Hoping to finally get it before the end of this month.

Here is what I just received from my dealer: Al,The new Mercedes launch date is July19th. Mercedes is starting to release the S Class to the dealers. As of today, they have released 6 to the carriers to bring here so it is finally happening. No word on your vehicle yet as to when it will get here.

I haven’t heard anything from my dealer today, but I had the 4th car on their allocation list. My car was built in early February and arrived in Brunswick in early March. We have 3 Mercedes dealers in this area, each had allocations, so it is hard to tell which cars will be shipped to which dealers first. The VPC has had plenty of time to line up the cars in the order they came off the boat, which would make sense in how they move the cars out. But nothing in this launch has been predictable. Still, I cashed out some investments today and transferred the money to my money market checking account just in case I get lucky and my car comes in next week. The bubbly is on ice, hopefully the ice won’t melt before the car gets here!

Not sure if allocations pertain to shipping from the VPC, MERCEDESMAX should know, he's been spot on with everything else, he must know people in high places!

Al, Same here, I don’t know if allocations have anything to do with delivering cars to the dealer. The dealer was allocated a certain number of the new S Class cars and they placed the orders as soon as they received the deposits. It seems logical that the VPC would want to get the cars out to customers who have been waiting the longest, and they have had plenty of time to work up a schedule. As you pointed out, maybe MERCEDSMAX has some insight into how the VPC schedules which cars get shipped out first. I’m hoping that we both get our cars in the next week or two, but I would not be surprised if it takes a while!

I don't know what kind of protocol they use at the VPC. If they have a staging area by dates manufactured then the longest cars held at the VPC would be the ones shipped out first, if not I would think they would ship whichever is easiest to get to and clears some congestion. logically, they may place by destination, that way when a truck comes in fill it up at one parking or staging location? Or, they just might jockey them around but that really seems chaotic, golden rule: the more you touch something the more chance of getting damaged. You have been waiting a long time, I hope yours is on the first truck out!. I've never been to a VPC (why would I), maybe someone on this forum can answer the VPC shipping standards question?

There really is no rhyme or reason. These cars are all priority 1. They have to go through a series of checks and upgrades at the VPC before they are released. I would think they would do the oldest cars first, but you never know.
Also, at launch time they want to make sure each and every dealer has a couple of cars at least. So it's unlikely that a dealer will get an entire truckload at one time.

Mine isn't. I called last week and asked when they'd have some in stock. They called back and emailed me a few that were at the vpc. I submitted deposit and a few hours later all their incoming s classes were presold.
