Another gripe of mine: Grandkids love to open the vanity mirrors in the back seat, leaving the lights on and I forget to check them when I put the car in the garage. With multiple vehicles in our household, the car can sit there with this problem unnoticed for days. WHY in the world don’t they have circuitry that shuts down these lights after a few minutes when the ignition is off?

Even a C Class is a pain in the rear.

The GM agreed that it was pretty ridiculous and promised that from that day on, I would receive an “E Class or larger loan vehicle.” The squeaky wheel gets the grease. Complaining works sometimes.
I've never had any issue with Lexus or with Mercedes about requesting larger loaner vehicles. I just ask for something like an E Class or GLC or something like that and have always gotten it. When I had the Lexus I asked for an NX or RX or something bigger

This happens on a Mercedes? Interior lights should go off in a while if the car is parked (ignition off, doors locked). Parking lights do not turn off on their own if the light switch is turned to the parking lights position (all or left/right). This is obviously a safety issue. Battery may eventually run out but not very quickly. I understand this happened to someone else in this thread.
