What are your thoughts on the rear spoiler?. Would you let the dealer add one on? My car came without one and I am considering adding it. From what I have been told, it is not put on at the factory rather at the VPC.
I think it looks nice on the car and would probably order it myself, I know some people don't like MB's rear designs because they taper off downward at the end so the spoiler can fix that but both spoiler and non-spoiler look good to me on the S. Do you have an S-Class with the AMG-Line Package? It works best with AMG-Line exterior in my opinion.

I personally love the rear end of the car. I have a white s580 with the AMG-Line Package. I would have ordered it with the spoiler but I found one on the lot that I ended up taking home. My concern or question Is from a quality point. I am wondering if it will look the same as if it was ordered from the factory?

I ordered my S500 and forgot to add the rear spoiler (darn sales dealer didn’t even suggest it!).
Ordered and dealer installed it. My car is Mojave Silver, dealer tried to convince me to keep it black to be inline with the AMG package. Went against his suggestion and painted same as car and iIMO looks gorgeous. I think if it was black it would stick out like a sore thumb. See pic.

If I’m note mistaken, I remember seeing a picture posted in this forum of a trailer loaded with new S classes which had a white one with black spoiler.

Hi, mine is the LWB. I love every second driving it with no complaints other than minor first world pet peeves. Nor have I had any of the problems mentioned in this forum by some.
The interior is exclusive Napa leather Sienna Brown.
The only pic I’ve posted so far is the above with the rear spoiler.

Didn’t know the spoilers were even an option when building mine. Was upset when I saw one with a spoiler that I didn’t have that in mine. Anyways the day I picked mine up, I ordered the spoiler at the dealer. It came in, was painted to match my exterior color (onyx black) and just got it installed today. Finally feel complete! 😂

Same here. I practically maxed out the options, you’d think the dealer would know better to offer it! Same with the factory dark tint of 2 rear windows! Would of been nice to have the glass factory tinted instead of 3rd party film tint.

This. I never considered it on an S before as none of them had it but the design language of this gen is definitely screaming for a spoiler.
Mine just arrived at my body shop. Will get it done next week.
