Apple CarPlay Issue in 2021 S580
Anyone else having issues with Apple CarPlay in the new S-Class? Among other annoying things, it randomly switches to music on my phone when I am listening to Sirius XM and constantly "reboots" itself. It worked fine until I got the new iPhone 13, so I am wondering if it is an Apple issue. I took it to the dealership, and they did an update, but it didn't completely fix it.

Minor pet peeves though:
-If CarPlay is not active/showing in Central Display, and I get an SMS on phone, it reverts to CarPlay on Central Display. Annoying!
-A bit of lag when pressing forward/backward track or when selecting different Apple radio stations.
I’d love to have this feature:
The Central Display is large enough, it would be ideal if one could have a mini-screen for CarPlay in a corner. I know there is a Media icon, but too small. Would prefer to have, say, Google Maps showing in corner of the display.

No issues with Car Play, but I do have a strange new issue with my 6 month old S580
I get a “popping” sound - like a cork pulled from a bottle - coming from the MBUX system. It happens every minute or so, randomly, whether there is media on or not. I called Mercedes Car Care, and they don’t know what it could be, and to take it into my dealer service dept.
It’d be much easier if someone out there had the same problem and there was an easy explanation and fix.
