Question 2023 Genesis G90

My mother has been patiently waiting to buy a W223 after she had fallen in love with my W222. That being said, after many disappointments graciously provided by MBUSA, she's no longer sure she wants one. We decided to check out the Flying Spur and were greeted by an uncomfortably-low roof line making it difficult to get in and out. The current generation 7-series is not only ugly, but lacks the true luxury experience provided by the S-class. Recently however, we've stumbled across the next generation Genesis G90. The current generation G90 felt like the underdog and cheaper option but, according to reviewers, this is no longer the case. Many reviewers note both the driving experience and interior materials rival that of the S-class. What are your thoughts? Recommendations are welcomed!

funny, with the constant delays and deletes of features on the w223, I've also starting lurking on this pending g90.

the fact that it has rear steer is what's really making me take notice. as well as the fact that i think the design, particularly the nose with clamshell bonnet, is far more interesting and unique, than the entire class. no doubt there will be many disagreements on this.

it checks all the right boxes... not to mention price.
however... no v8... that's a huge deciding factor for me.

really need to see US and EU based reviews, as i do think that the Korean reviews are severely biased.

I agree with everything you've said!
The rear wheel steering is only 2 degrees (S-class offers 4.5-10 though I'm not sure if that's even available anymore)
I'm really hoping they try to appeal to the American market by offering a V8. Sadly though, I fear this will not be the case.
All seats offer massaging options along with a UV-cleansing rear center console. On paper at least, it has everything if not more than the S-class for substantially less.

There's a thread already on the G90 here in the 223 section if you want some thoughts: Genesis Strikes Again, new G90 to Compete in Flagship Class

I've read it'll be 4deg for low speed turns and 2deg for high speed.

ya... hope they'll reconsider v8 option for US market, but not holding my breath based on Hyundai's comments.
