I've recently noticed that the front camera that automatically turns on when pulling into a parking space does not automatically turn on anymore. I only get the birds eye display over the car, but no longer the automatic front activated camera where I can see the bumper approaching the curb. I now have to manually push a button now as I'm pulling in to turn on this feature.
Anyone else experiencing this and find a solution? See pictures attached. The first is what I see and the second is after pushing the button, which I was hoping would always be on automatically as I pull in.

Isn't that how it's always been? In all my Benz's I always get the bird's eye camera for pulling close to specific barriers which then allows me to pull up the full camera menu. If this is for a specific location that you go to everyday, you can save it as a GPS activated camera spot.
I am 99% certain that when I first got my car the front camera automatically turned on alongside the birds eye view. I really loved that feature because it was just like the Panamera, but then it stopped.
Does your car not show the front camera when pulling into a spot? I wonder if it has to do with the curb height possibly triggering it?

Was this in every location? Or one in specific?
I've never had only the front camera pull up without having to press the camera button myself. In my CLS, GLE, and S the camera when approaching objects is the 360 view as shown in your original post.

Forunately, my W222 has only had this problem once. Hopefully it is just a one-time glitch.
