Wind Noise & Rear Suspension Rattle

So the seats would still make those thumping noises, if you manually adjusted the seats back to the original 'problematic' position?

So.. the dealership service department asked me to bring it in for a drive with the technician just to confirm that the problem is resolved. During the drive, the technician said the sound is still there, and it sounds like something may be loose. So they are going to take a more detailed look at it. I will let you know their diagnosis and how it got resolved...

FYI, I'm the one that posted about the suspension noise in the back that got temporarily fixed by changing seat position, but that turned out to be not an actual fix. For what it's worth, what my dealership ended up doing was they swapped out the rear suspension under warranty. It has been quiet since.

By the way, do you perhaps have a recording（be it audio or video）of that suspension rattle？I'd like to compare it to that rattle in my cabin, and if they are an exact match, then I can no doubt get my dealer to do the same replacement...

The way I got them to diagnose it was by asking the senior tech to drive with me, because the two times I had them look at it at the back of the shop, both came back with "everything is fine". I did tip him $40 at the beginning of the drive to thank him for taking the time to go on test drive with me.

I might be too late on this thread, but I tested both with insulated and non-insulated and I can't tell the difference. There is a noticeable wind noise when driving in the autobahn at higher speed right by the tweeter. The option here is called Guard 360 and that's the only way to have it. I'm going to pick my S400D in April and will surely be on the lookout here.

Hello, any response with wind noise? I bought this car S350d 4Matic (W223 2021) last year and while I drive more than 120km/h the acoustic wind noise is extremely loud and terrible at drivers and front passenger seat (single windows) . I do not know what to do :-(

No resolution on my end as yet.
I've asked MB Australia to advise why they are saying the acoustic glass can not be retrofitted as it was supposed to be fitted to the vehicle originally.
Does yours have acoustic glass BTW?

No I dont. I have only single glass. In my previous S Class Coupe it was standard and when I was choosing this car, I would never have thought that acoustic glass was not standard for the S Class.
But anyway, I have driven lot of MBs, this month I drove CLS, CLA, GLE etc. with single glass and there is no acoustic noise...
