I see very few eABC cars for sale, but a few. What are people's thoughts on it who have it, or tested it and passed on it. I love a flat feeling sports car, and realize these beasts won't feel that way, but the eABC leaning into a turn would seem to feel great. I haven't seen too many reviews of it in the new S. Thanks in advance.

I’ve had 2015, 2018 & 2020 S Class sedans with MBC. My new 2022 S580 with E-ABC is a quantum leap forward. The MBC systems were almost 100% hit or miss. Sometimes they worked, sometimes they didn’t. E-ABC appears (I only have around 200 miles on the new car) to be significantly better than MBC. The ride quality and hushed cabin of the new car is marvelous. The rest of the “arcade game?” Not so much.

MBC or Magic Body Control was a rare option on the W222’s. The $4K+ option price had a lot to do with that. At $6,500.00 for E-ABC, we are going to see VERY few cars equipped with it.
When I test drove an S580, I found the regular air suspension to ride almost as well as my W222 with MBC. Hardly a difference. If I were to order one, I'd probably skip the E-ABC... Air suspension with hydraulic adjusters sounds like an exorbitant repair bill...
The vehicle i just bought has this, I wish there was more information on it but i cannot find anything anywhere for the W223. Lot's of stuff regarding the GLC, but zilch for the 223. Wasn't an option I really wanted to spend 7k on it but the vehicle i purchased had it optioned so I hope i can tell a difference.

I was referring to the all electronic controls inside the car, the center stack screen in particular. I don’t like it. They have made a system that virtually requires the driver to “talk” or “gesture” to the car, two things I really hate doing. I may be old and set in my ways, but I find that the loss of simple, easy to use controls, such as the “roller” volume controls, along with a few traditional buttons & switches on the previous models to be unforgivable. If you refuse to talk to this car, you are pretty much forced to take your eyes off the road to perform simple tasks that were easily accomplished by touch on the previous models.
Change to improve something is great. Change to make something cheaper and flashier, such as putting most EVERY function in the center screen and the massively idiotic door handles is just something that should never have been “green-lighted” by MB, especially not for the S Class.
