2022 S500
I actually like the HUD….and I think that few have/had the problems I did. It worked well…I chose an odd seating position, I suppose: sitting high with the steering wheel very low. That’s a no no. I refused to cave.

I will be interested in your thoughts on your new S500 once you take possession.. Mine is the S500 SWB which is available in Canada . The S580 here is the LWB version. I have had no issues with the car and now have 8000 kms on it. Just got home from a 1200 km road trip this past weekend and the car was a pleasure to drive. I find it very comfortable and fast.No problem to get a speeding ticket ..i have had more than a dozen mercedes vehicles and i must say i am enjoying this model the most. This is my first S class. Most of my previous ones were e class models including estates (2) and the sedans with one of them having an 8 cylinder engine.I do miss the wagon for its utility but the smoothness of the s class is unbeatable.Mine is a 22 model with 20 inch wheels.Enjoy your new car and post some pics when you get it...

here is a pic of my vehicle

@martinlarose Thanks for your post! Your car looks great! I will definitely message (with pics) you when I get my car. I am so glad to hear that you've had no issues so far. I've seen a few worrisome posts about problems (handles, squeaky seats, black screens, axle welds etc), but I am hoping they are all with the early 2021 models. This is my first S Class too and I can't wait to drive it. I currently have a 1992 W124 300E that I will always have, so it's going to be a big jump for me to the S500. It truly is a dream come true for me to get an MB S Class. I see you are in Nova Scotia. My son just moved last week to Halifax :-).

Hi Ebranger
it is a small world. The ferry in the picture sails daily in the summer months between Yarmouth NS (where i live) and Bar Harbor Maine. The crossing takes about 3 hours as the boat is a high speed catamaran. Might be a good way to visit your son on a driving adventure next summer in your new S class
