Thanks for your advise. What is very disappointing is I can't get a clear answer from the MB dealer or MB USA, or Ctek which makes the MB labeled charger. I think it is because current trickle chargers don't work with a mild hybrid having two batteries and of different types. I'm hesitant to disconnect either battery, who knows where or how they use EPROM's. Mercedes and Ctek are you listening?

I decided to just leave my car sitting the last time I hopped the pond and after 22 days it lit right up. This was locked with no keys in range of the car. On the other hand the Ceramic people left the car unlocked while they were working on it with the key nearby and I got a low battery alarm in just under 24 hours.

I'm thinking an occasional top off charge is going to be enough to see me to the other side based on what I know so far. Unfortunately, it's going to take two months to prove it but that's how I placed my bet.

22 days makes 42 Ah on 80 mA, about one half of your 12 V battery. An "occasional" top off is fine, be it 22 days or four months.
