The wait for S63 seems never ending with the car being delayed and then no word since announcement last year.
I guess it is the most complicated S 63 ever produced so they want to make sure everything is perfect before releasing. Fits their theme of the best or nothing, not the best? Well, you get nothing (no updates, no news on release).
Couldn't agree more, I wonder if they wanted to launch the GT 63 S E Performance first which was revealed way too long ago. Hopefully not.
I don't think MBUSA has any clue as to what they are doing. It makes no sense to delay the car for years - only to announce it in December - and then no word for 5 months now.

Not an update but I actually saw an S63E today! I’m in the dolomites this weekend driving a little Renault Clio when all of the sudden I see three Panamericana Grill in my rear view. I pull over and get passed by a beautiful white S63E, black C63E, and a white GLC63E. No pictures sadly, but it was the same spec as the press car and looked fantastic. These test cars were rolling around the mountains for hours as I saw the C63E multiple times.

They’re always testing vehicles for various reasons, even after release. When in Munich they had BMW iX1’s and X5’s in camo despite already being released. This is the second C63E I have seen. Once when leaving the Mercedes Museum, and now yesterday in the mountains.

How does the C63e look in person? I think it looks pretty aggressive in photos without being over the top and objectively ugly like the M3 with its laughably large kidney grills. I just wonder if it looks different enough from a “normal” W206 in person. Does it have the same imposing look in person? I do really like the wide front fenders

Sadly I have left the Italian Alps so I likely won't see it again. The S63E looked fantastic though, the Panamericana grills works great here and is very imposing while still fitting with the car.
I like the wheels a lot, Mercedes always knows how to design a great multi-spoke wheel, and I believe these are the same ones as the new SL which I think they also look fantastic on.
I did end up spying a new G90 M5 Hybrid though!

Looks great in person. Both times the car passed me going 40+ mph so it wasn't exactly something I could see for much time, however it looks great. To someone like me, aka a car nerd, I knew that it was a C63 each time from a far, purely due to the lower air intake design. A normal person likely will not be able to tell the difference, however I much prefer an understated look as compared to something like the M3 which is atrocious in design. They look the right amount of imposing to me, nothing too in your face though. If you want something more imposing I think the upcoming CLE AMG coupe is likely gonna have wide fenders front and rear, as well as a newer front end design.
