Blown Speaker
I think I have a blown or loose speaker. It’s definitely driver’s side although I can’t exactly tell which speaker. 90% of the time it sounds fine but certain songs with a particular bass ensemble will make it rattle/distort. For example, Pink Floyd’s: Speak to Me will cause the rattle/distortion. This distortion occurs at moderate volume levels with essentially flat bass (Warm setting).
Anyone else experienced this? I’ll certainly let my service advisor know for my one year service.

IMHO if it's a loose speaker it would be covered under warranty but I seriously doubt a blown speaker is covered. Note: I read somewhere the 4D Burmester is smart enough to not let system reach "blown" mode,,,,but never had the guts to test

Did you end up finding out what it was. I have the exact same issue on my 2025 s580. Most the time it is fine, some songs cause a distorted sound seemingly from the driver side rear door speaker. I never dialed the volume up loud enough to have blown it. The issue is more noticeable on the burmeister 3D setting than the pure setting.

No. I adjusted the bass down and it doesn’t occur as often. However, it’s still there. It kind of sounds like something is loose/vibrating more than a blown speaker.
I was prepared to pull out the service advisor from his office, with a song that I knew would produce it, but changed my mind as I didn’t want to deal with the hassle. It’s a lease. If I purchased outright, I would have definitely taken it in.
Please let us know what they find if you do take it in.

Finally had the time to take it in. Dealer confirmed blown speaker. They replaced the speaker under warranty. Being able to listen to the sound system with the 3d setting without the aggravation of crackle is phenomenal.

Which speaker was blown? The driver-side “midrange” speaker that is in the middle of the door?

I have had a number of speakers in the years reaplced under warranty. MB, BMW, Mitsubishi and I think an Audi. The word to the SA is that "Speakers are blown from being under powered by the amplifier, not over powered". The OE system should not be able to blow itself up unless I was to physically alter it....that in general stops the arugment (if there is one) and you get a new speaker (that will again be "blown").

By the way, If your dealer has a "nice" service manager, you can try to take it there just like that and let them swap the speaker without touching the door again. I am like you; I don't like dealers to touch my interior and I prefer to do it myself when I can.
E.g.: If I can let them just give me the AC cabin filters itself (just the part) as part of the free maintenance and install them myself, I would. But in most cases they want to do so they can claim the labor.
