I had a similar issue with my '22 GLE 53, the passenger side headrest would make a whining noise when I'd turn on the AC. Turns out, it was just a loose screw on the headrest itself, so definitely check that first.

Late yesterday I confirmed some wind noise at the top of the driver side rear window.Lowered the window and raised it to to re-seat it and it was still there.Exterior inspection shows the door is ever so slightly positioned differently than other side, but probably "in tolerance".So, I broke down and scheduled a service appointment for,I hope, one round of QC work to address possible issues.Only have a 13 month lease so I'm not gonna obsess to much, plus the dealer is 45 miles away. We'll see what happens.May be back in a 7 Series,Panoramic Vision I-drive,S68 problems and all.As an aside, has anybody seen the ASMR videos online for some of the new MB models?Makes a convincing case that MB is trying to address the QC issues. We'll see.

Do you think that would show up in a picture? Can you describe the noise? Does it go away when you move the window?

I don't have any wind noise issues in my W223 but I did in my 222 and the dealer could never solve it. I finally ordered some rubber tubing and stuffed it into the door seals at the very top and that solved it 90%. My drivers door was ever so slightly misaligned on the 222 also but they would never adjust it.

I think Ive seen some ppl mention having noise issues with the passenger headrest on the S class, but I havent had any issues myself with my 2022 E63 AMG, maybe the design is slightly different between the two models, I'm curious if others are experiencing this as well.

I also had wind and road noise issues on my W222, at the bottom of the drivers door.Just as yours, the door was misaligned and they never could properly adjust it.Don't think anything would show up in a picture.Upon a closer look at the door seals they appeared to be very dry.I've applied a very light coat of Gummi Pflege.Tinkering with the headrests also seems to have helped.Think I'll wait before before taking it in to see it these steps make any difference. Also, it's been very windy here recently. That may have contributed to percieved issues.Think I'll slow down and try to curb my S Class paranoia. My past experiences certainly haven't helped. Also, guess I'm a bit spoiled by having no QC issues with two G70's. Again, thanks to all for the helpful input.

I had a 2018 E63 with the Active Multicontour Massage Seats - They were quiet, no squeaks or rattles. My 2022 S and now my 2023 S have squeaks in both front seats. The driver's seat has the issue at the bottom that Steve was able to fix with felt and the passenger seat has the issue with the headrest. I'll try to adjust both this weekend to try to fix.

Gummipfledge helps for sure.

Yeah its tough, once you start looking for issues you find issues. Try and just turn the radio up and enjoy the ride. Without a doubt BMW is better in the QC arena, but MB has the better chassis, looks and drive IMO. Remind yourself the issues you DID have with the G70 lol.

Have you set up your audio through MBUX yet? If not get an Apple Music or Tidal account and stream it directly through MBUX not from your phone. The sound quality difference is amazing.

Feel free to text me while you are working on it this weekend and I can walk you through what I did. Do you have the MB sliding oil? If not you can use 3 in 1 oil it just has a petroleum smell. Do you have felt tape?

Thanks Steve - I'll text you.

I don't have either the oil or tape, but I'm a mile from Mercedes of Buckhead - so can drop by there after work or while I'm off tomorrow and get the oil. Do you have the Amazon link to the tape you used?

The metal headrest bar rubbing against the plastic base wasn’t the source of my rattle. Mine is more inside the actual headrest and I suspect it’s where the bar attaches to the headrest behind the cushion. What helped me was just pressing that button on the side of the headrest and moving it forward as far as possible. It reduced the rattles a lot but not completely. However, it’s much better.

Good advice on the QC issues.Having problems setting up the hotspot and Tidal.Think I need the hotspot first because TidaI keeps saying I'm not authorized.I scan the hot spot code and click the yellow bar and nothing happens.Guess I gotta go to tech support.

Our '22 W223 has had the passenger headrest replaced twice and it still rattles. Will take it back a third time under warranty when something else comes up. You can simulate the noise just by banging on the top of the seat.

I temporarily stopped the rattle by folding a piece of fabric under the headrest and lowering the headrest down on it. A 2" diameter soft fabric spacer if you will. Problem is the headrest rises whenever you adjust anything on the seat, so you have to lower it again with the spacer in place to stop the rattle I may try temporarily adhering the spacer to the bottom of the headrest. Our W222 has no rattles. Heck our F150 has no rattles. Shame shame MB

My W222 was not rattle free but it was less prone to rattles than the 223. I had a creaking seat on the 222 the dealer repaired, I also had a rattle in the rear headliner that had to be repaired and the wind noise problem which was never solved.

A big shoutout to my buddy Steve @SW20S for helping me de-squeak my front seats. He had me order some felt and oil for the project. Over the weekend I spent maybe 10 minutes following the steps in a very detailed video he made for me on how to do. I'm happy to report that my front seats no longer squeak. Also, I followed the suggestion of others in this thread to push the headrest forward on the passenger seat - which resolved the headrest rattle. In doing both of these things, my seats are now squeak-free. Thanks guys and especially to Steve for taking the time to make the video and share!
