Traffic Light View

If you live in a city where the traffic lights are on the other side of the intersection from where you stop, then this feature isn't much help. However, if your lights are on the near side of the intersection, and you are the first car at the light, then this can be helpful to see the lights change when they may be almost above you.

Yeah, in the US they're usually in the center or across the intersection, not so in a lot of place overseas. I think my favorites are the ones that are near side AND at the side of the road, so that they can be blocked be trucks and so on. Great thinking on those...
In any event in the US you may want to consider putting it to on demand. It will pop up a small toast you can tap to enable it on a per-occasion basis for the rare light setup you can't see from the car.

The system in my i7 seems more practical than the video stream in my EQS580 SUV utilizing both the heads up display and central display. Instead of showing you a video of the intersection it has a large animation of the traffic light and its current state.
It will also issue a warning if you’re in danger of running a red light or stop sign through the driver assistance system and actively alert you when the light turns green.
