Key fob

I lost my fob. I went to automation to purchase a new one. 850 plus 350 programming. I told them not to kill the miss fob in case it shows up. We'll it was found and it's deactivated. Autonation wants 350 to add the fob back on and a independent benz dealer said it can't be turned back on. Does anyone have the correct info here. Did it have to be un programed?

Based on my own experience and multiple posts here, the dealer is correct. If you decide to challenge via Autonation, I wouldn't pay them until they prove the fob they "turn on" proves in front of you that it works.
Or phone MB.
