I recenty had the opportunity to have a chauffered drive in an S680. While the interior was really pleasant, the cabin noise was actually higher than my S550 W222. I would suspect the rolling noise of the tires. A bit disappointing I must say, I would have bet that silence was too priority?
That's odd because 680 has an active noice cancelling system. I was driven in one as well, and I heard no noise. I had commented how silent it was and was told about that system, cannot recall if it's on by default though.

Yes that is strange, almost all the W223 owners I read on the forums that went from a W222 said the cabin was quieter and that is let alone you are talking about a Maybach OP.
What kind of tires? Im sorry its hard to tell from the pic. I am curious is something is wrong because the W223 I rode in while very nice and we considered before our W213 was a quiet car. Very quiet. I cannot imagine a Maybach being loud.
