S63e Performance Edition One
Moonlight Magno with Black interior and Red stitching, Red CF trim, CCBs, absolutely stunning combo.
I thought I would hate it with all that additional weight but now, after 1500 miles, I am convinced it is the best AMG I have ever owned.
....and now I will probably sell it, my special order Taycan Turbo GT just arrived at my dealer and what the hell am I to do?
Keep the Benz for happy driving and lose a $25k non refundable deposit and deny myself a time limited, very special Porsche or let the S go and get to drive the quickest Porsche in history?

Very different cars to be honest (Taycan vs the S-class). I know that a Taycan Turbo GT is a special car, certainly more special than the Tesla S Plaid, but I did a similar move once by moving from an S-class to the Tesla. Very different cars... but am still enjoying that switch.

AMG GTC Roadster, E63s Ed.1, M8 Comp. Coupe
I remember your AMG’s over time. Still remember the bad fuel fiasko on your last S63 but also your other lovely cars.
You will take a bigger hit than $25k on the S63 and if you like it I suggest to keep it.
Depreciation on the Taycan will likely be higher than on the AMG so perhaps you still take the Taycan GT (as well) but just do a 2 years lease.
You’ll overpay on the lease but won’t lose the deposit and be happy when you unload the car without taking a bigger hit then.
Good luck!

Wolfman, sensible advice.
Jimmynj: a lot considering circumstances.
Ed 1 was commanding a $30k-$50k premium in Chicagoland market initially, I consider myself lucky to be able to get that car at MSRP (a dealer in Western suburbs rejected my $20k premium).
My dealer was able to find one for me in another State and swapped with them for another car in the pipeline, did nor ask for any premium from me.
Now, car is barely 2 months old and has about 1400 miles, highest buy offer the Porsche dealer found, was $175k.
Were I to sell it privately, I would need to get $190k just to match it (trading in means a sales tax credit of almost $15k).
Realistically, with a bit of work and effort, I could probably find someone to pay around $200k but it would not be a big enough difference for me to spend my time dealing with strangers and all the hassle involved.
Did it a few times when I was younger but I would not today, for every potential real buyer who also knows what he/she is looking for, there is a dozen individuals you wouldn't want to waste even a minute of your time with.
As for Porsche, I had one of the earliest Plaids, liked it a lot, (traded for M5 CS which felt slow and sluggish at first compared to Tesla, incredible sport sedan as time went on) but beside similar acceleration they are from different planets (IMO) and the latter is on inferior one without any doubt.
Sapphire might be the only real competition for the Turbo GT, equal in dynamics but a bit comfier in daily use.
The only reason I rejected mine, was the fact Lucid made it impossible for me to make it a primarily daily driver (threat of voiding the warranty were I to install a radar detector with hard wire, refusing to sell me a set of rims I could put Winter tires on and their tech telling me it could take months to get any parts needed in case of any, even minor fender bender).
"Poor me" could be said but trutfully, I am as confused and undecided as a HS Senior girl having to choose a dress for Prom when told to pick any dress she wants in a store like Neiman or Saks Avenue.

Wow, it's a beauty. I wouldn't get rid of it, but you might have other thoughts. I'm just curious about matte paint—do you find it difficult to maintain? Do you car wash it?

You just have to make sure they don't add any extras like wax, etc.
A simple wash with soap, the most basic one a car wash offers.
As for keeping the S, I would certainly not sell it if only I had a larger garage (which I don't, just a 2 car, attached).
Test drove the Taycan today, a little claustrophobic after my S but otherwise the car is just a tour de force, if the new S63 is something like a G650, that Porsche would be a Hornet.
Picking it up on Tuesday, 24 month lease.

Unfortunately beyond my budget, neighbor's is a real crappy, old and ugly home that should be replaced with a new one but the land alone (0.5 acre) is easy value equivalent of a couple new Bugatti Tourbillons.

You must live on the lake? Or, at least your neighbor does?
