I had an interesting thought. My S580 has zero brake dust, which surprises me because the dust with my S560 was awful and I went to ceramic pads when they wore out. With the above post I wasn’t considering the regenerative braking on these preserving the life of the service brakes. That could also explain my lack of brake dust.

So, I see very little dust with our GLS too, but I never felt that regen braking is actually stopping the car - I still need to push the brakes hard.... So am not sure how that works. Does that mean than when the brake pedal is pushed, the car first uses the regen braking before physical braking?

I need to apologize for my price quote for Brake Pads and Rotors. The total cost was $43,00.00 for ALL of the work done, Ceramic Pads, Rotors, 21" Rims and Tires (my originals were 19").
