Odering process
Hi All,
After exhaustive failed searches, I have decided to order my S580. I just couldn't find the car optioned to my liking. With that, I am going to order tomorrow:
I am wondering id MB has a build portal like BMW does. During the build of my X3M competition, I was able to look into the portal to see where along the build, shipping process it was.
Also, a question: One of the located cars I found had a line item " heated windshield" I can not find that option in MB's build page. Does anyone have any information on this? Wondering if it's an electrical grid style like I had on my race cars.

Should be option code 597. Not sure if it is available everywhere. What else could it be except an electrical grid, small enough wires to be almost invisible.

You can build to your hearts desire on mbusa.com but they do not offer a portal to monitor your build in process like BMW does, wish they did...or you can just call your salesman and bug him every couple of weeks and get an update from him/her...

I love BMWs ordering process. When i ordered my Escalade i got a bunch of misinformation from my salesperson and GM. The truck showed up out of nowhere one day when everyone was telling me it hasn't even been shipped.
