“Maximum steering angle of the rear axle steering is reduced”
Relatively new owner of a 2022 S500 with the AMG 20” staggered wheel factory package and the 4.5 degree rear axle steer option. Getting the above message in MBUX as others have experienced. From searching the forums, it appears that the reason could be that with the wider wheels in the rear that the maximum steering angle is reduced from the factory. I’m not sure if this is true or not. I also am noticing that the available tire options to me having the stagger package are significantly limited.
Has anyone attempted to replace the rear wider wheels with the same wheels that are on the front, i.e. the AMG style 20 inch wheel but only 9 inches wide?
I am wondering if you do this if you can then take the car back to the dealer and have them code in the maximum 4.5° into the rear steering. Any thoughts?

4.5 degrees should be fine with AMG staggered wheels. Are you sure you have not activated the snow chain mode or something like that? The warning is supposed to be a temporary alert, something that triggered a non-default limitation.
You could put the same wheels front and rear. This would enable 10 degree RWS angle, not only 4.5 (but 10 would need coding). For this and some other reasons I've chosen 10 degree RWS and the same wheels front and back.

I wanted the 10 degree, but it's NA with AMG and night package. At least it's NA from the factory. I suppose one could purchase a pair of front wheels with 31 et, place them on the rear and code in the 10 degree after delivery. I don't think the factory would do that, but I can ask.

To step back for a minute, your car was sold with 4.5, and it should absolutely work without warning messages. Fix that first on MBs dime.
Depending on which wheels you have, the 10 should be possible, but that's a different discussion; job one is getting them to fix what they sold you.
