Minor Equipment Install in trunk questions: 2024

First off, apologies I do not own this car, so researching this here. Flying a bit blind until we have access The manual is a bit vague on some obscure details.

The 12v Cigarette lighter socket in the trunk: Can anyone confirm that the 12V outlet in the trunk is ignition switched or otherwise system switched?

There is another 12V cigarette outlet just below the glove box, near the center knee bolster.

C300

After I found out just how good the brakes are on a C300 (someone pulled out in front of me from a gas station while I was going 45 down an incline) I had a Blackvue dash cam (front and back) installed. Hardwired by an auto stereo shop. Not cheap to buy or do, but then the car was not cheap, either.
