Quick Interior Lighting Question

Quick Interior Lighting Question
Quick question for someone taking the dog for a walk after dinner

Inside the front center console armrest/storage box located between the front seats, when you push the button and open the lid, do you have lights on both sides of the interior or just on the driver's side? I think the headlights have to be on (either auto or manual).
