Did they say why they didn’t want to dechrome via wrap? I’ve got a full wrap (didn’t dechrome) but did switch to matte on the paint. Clear wrap on the chrome bits, super high quality all around. Had I wanted to dechrome would have went that route like ColeBlooded

Disassembling the chrome bits involves a LOT of parts removal and prone to broken clips - probably the reason why the installer is trying to dissuade.
PPF wrapping is done without chrome trim removal and just applied on top, while the 'dechrome' would involve wrapping around the bits which require removal.
Blacked out look is okay but I much prefer the chrome trims that accentuates the edges and lines, especially on a luxury sedan.
