Proximity Alerts Stopped Beeping

When I back into a parking space or pull up to a gate, the proximity alerts have stopped beeping. This happened once in my Silver S, but I can't remember what I did to fix. I'd rather not do a hard reset, but if I must, then I will.

Any ideas from the you guys?

Found my post on this, but I did this in my Olive S, but didn't fix.

Turned off and then back on the feature a couple of times, then changed from Early to normal. Doing this fixed.

I have found this is an example of the common little quirks the MBUX system presents. It turns features on and off at random sometimes. I got in the car the other day and the active ambient light strip was dark, all the other lighting was on. I was frustrated it was broken and then I went into the settings and somehow it had turned that one zone brightness down to zero on its own. It constantly turns off the passenger armrest heating. Not the driver...the passenger. Weird.

I'm convinced there is some maniacal engineer at Mercedes who on occasion thinks "let's disable this, that or the other thing today to mess with owners". Kidding of course - or am I?

I've experienced both of these 'resets' and for some reason, my ambient light that I set to multi-color 'Malibu Sunset' defaults back to monotone blue lights every once in a while.
I had the armrest heating of the passenger (including rears) set to off once.
I also had this happen once - of course the ambient lights came back to life after an ignition cycle.

Gotta love these quirks of German cars lol

Too bad many of us in this thread are spread out along the eastern seaboard or getting together would definitely be something I'd be interested in. Steve's in Maryland, and Daniel ( @nearwater4me ) is in South Georgia along with me in Atlanta.

I'm thinking MBWorld OR MBUSA should arrange a car meet and invite us enthusiasts to meet up and they host us!

I know the facelift is in a world tour right now - is it stopping in Atlanta??????????? That would be a good place for us to meet up, meet one another and see the new facelift in person.

Atlanta is likely a good stop as MBUSA headquarters are located here just about 5 miles from me. However, Atlanta does NOT quality as a mega-city. Maybe NYC?

"The route covers brand milestones and legendary routes – such as the Route 66, which will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2026 – to megacities like Buenos Aires, Shanghai and Sydney."

I think it's very possible they'll stop by Atlanta either at the HQ or at Road Atlanta, as that's where they host the AMG Experience & Performance.
If they're hosting any kind of local meet or track event, I'm definitely going!

Call me crazy, but I'm really liking the F/L at this point.
Even the black grill surround makes so much sense lol.
Depending on what the W225 (or whatever they'll call the next gen S) have in the works, this F/L might very well be my next car
