I don't see a lot of modded S55s for some reason. Everyone turns to C55s and E55s for modding.

But as they all have identical 55K engines, I don't see why a lot of S55s aren't modded.

I am new to this car, but my first mod will be Limited Slip Differential. Probably a Kleemann.

This will help low speed hookup alot.

Next will be an ECU/PULLEY. this will add about 50 H.P./50 lbs torque.

Do you have a hard time now(stock) getting her to hook up? Also, are there shops around that do the Kleeman work? You may remember me......I'm the guy from Jersey. I know that Renntech does all their own work and they're out of Florida. I would consider shipping my computer down to them but not my whole car for a pully or l/s rear!...lol.

I was interested in getting the EVOSPORT Stage 1 and 2 done a few months ago.... but after asking around several ppl on this forum I got mixed reviews about EvoSport; so I held back.

I will have to wait for warmer weather to get a feel for the traction. I have only owned the car for a couple weeks and it has been cold and wintery. Even on my 04 SL500 I could tell it would benefit from an LSD, so this car will probably need it even more. Apparently, there is a decent Kleemann shop over near Phili, but the guy at Kleemann recommended a shop down in Tampa. The LSD is about $2300.00 and the labor is about 5-7 hours. The computer would have to be sent to whoever for a reflash, but the pulley should be an easy job to change on the S class. Should be able to get it done locally, or just do it yourself.

Unfortunately, my local dealer is not very mod friendly, so I will have to weigh the benefits over the possible hassles with any warranty work.
