2003 S55 AMG
Vegas Events???
Hello everyone. I am a new 2003 S55 AMG owner (purchased 11/28/05) and was wondering if there are any events, clubs, races, etc. in the Vegas area to attend for fun. In February I participated in the drag night at The Strip at the speedway. I was turning the 1/4 mile in 13.4 with the traction control on. It was windy and cold as ****, plus I really did not know what I was doing since I had never dragged before. My experience has always been road racing and autocrossing, although it has been years since I have done that as well.
I was looking at purchasing a 2001 or newer turbo 911, although now I have a 2 year old girl and a 5 month old boy, so I had to opt for the family car...ON STERIODS!!! Honestly, I could not be happier and I love my car. My wife likes driving it so much she is thinking about getting one for herself as well. I don't know about having 2 of the same car though, it seems somewhat silly to me.

I too live in Vegas and I drive a 2004 E55 K2 pushing 600hp / 650ft. lbs. I can't wait for the next drag day. Looking to turn mid-high 11's.

Go to www.lvms.com and the schedule is available for viewing. It looks like the next Midnight Mayhem is 2 weeks from today on Friday 3-31-06 at 10PM. I am planning on going. My wife says she would like to go and I am sure she will do a few runs herself. We'd love to see you there, can you make it?

What's the deal with the upgrades and the factory warranty? I have been looking at the Renntech Performance Package 5 taking the car to 598 horses and 626 lbs/ft. Will that just kill my warranty?
