2001 S55 AMG
Mimix...I took off my chrome grille and sprayed it with Plastidip(black). You can alwayz peel Plastidip off if you dont like the all black grille. Try it.
Also, what size rims are on your rides and how are they lowered??

...I'm getting my car back in a few days..Painted the whole front and 2 side door on the left which needed new paint so i still got time to paint the whole grill!!...I'm getting the Distronic sensor front cover on the grill painted too!! so maybe, but only MAYBE i'm gonna give it a try on painting the whole grill!!!...i know it will look more agressive! got the whole grill painted on my CLK 230k and the car is black and it looks very cool! but i'm still not sure on an S class!!Still not sure on painting the whole grill though!!!
Cars are both on 20 inch...Silver S55: Front 9x20 Rear 10x20
Black S55: Front 8x5x20 Rear 10.5x20
Both are Lowered with links

The good thing about it is that you can make the car higher or lower on you choice! Easy screw system and you can take them off OR put them back on without touching the electronic of the car! and CHEAP, alot more cheaper then Box, which ain't bad but i prefer Links over them!
But you have to look at what suspension system you have and want!...ABC, Airmatik, 20 inch size alloys, wheel size and so on..all these factors make alot of diffrence on ride feeling
Had a box built in on a S600 and it wasen't what i was looking for, so i sold it and bought links for her too!!...But hey, it's your choice m8!
The car drives stiffer, better street contact especially when i press the ABC sport button on! you feel when you take a curve that the car sits/takes them much better even though the weight what S class have!! .It's another feeling over normal height and looks 100% better. I prefer when the car is a bit harder on the road..The real diffrence though of a ride with 20 inch alloys are your Wheel size!! that is what makes the car harder or softer on the street.
Had 255/25/20 once on and you feel every little bump, hard like a rock extreme for my taste!..Had 245/30/20 and they were a bit softer but still hard.
Links with 245/35/20 Front and 285/30/20 rear..the car drives perfect for my taste. Better street contact/stiffer but without loosing the joy of driving an S Class!

Now days you can find them anywhere..But easy to find is ebay..Nearly all links are made in the same style/form and quality..So it's ok to buy them from Ebay
Price is from 80 to 200$ with shipping inc! so price is good!...I've put them on my self but i would recommend you to let a Garage put them on for you!
Any GOOD! Garage who know stuff like links lowering system do it for you in 1 max 2 hours work!
So calculate these hours what they need
