Hello everyone, I am new to this forum
. I just bought a 2001 Mercedes Benz S600 today, and I would like to know what's the best performance upgrade I should do. I'm willing to spend around $5,000 grand on upgrades. My goal is to hit in the 12's quarter mile bracket.
I was told about Renntech performance, what is the best upgrades for me to get, to get my S600 in the 12’s quarter mile for around $5-10g’s in upgrades? My 2001 S600 run 13.9 stock.
Reply ASAP. Thanks!

.............you bought the wrong year S600. Your S600 is NA twelve cylinder engine, no easy way to shave off one full second from your quater mile time for $5K

For the top-of-the-line S600 with normally aspirated engine there are two different BRABUS increased-displacement engines with 6.7 -liter displacement. The top-of-the-line engine is the BRABUS 6.7 S: This high-tech engine develops 475 hp/349 kw at 6.000 rpm and produces a maximum torque of 650 at 4.200 rpm.
But....... the first cost you: € 39.800,- (US$ 50.148,-) and the second: € 42.800,- (US$ 53.928,-) Excl. works and taxes!
Indead when you want more performance, you both the wrong S 600.......
Realy more power cost you a fortune on this one!

This because this engine has a lot of problems and there is no further development from the middle of 2003! MB replaced the engine for the V12 TT (with was developed for the Maybach) already after three years of production!
Bad engine, that non-turbo V12 in the W220!!!!
Also Bad ABC, bad Oil cooling, bad car...
I'm talking with experience, and my dealer have built a new building from my spent $$$$
