S55/S65 AMG quad exhausts installation etc.

Dear all,

Sorry for the double post, but I got no answers, so maybe AMG owners could help me?

I am contemplating on purchasing a '03-'04 W220 S-class 600 biturbo Mercedes. My second option is a S55 AMG kompressor, but I would prefer the S600 due to the better performance and equipment.

My question is shortly: My plan is to go for the S600 and to make it look like a S55/S65 AMG by buying S55/S65/AMG quad exhausts and AMG front and rear spoilers. Due to warranty issues, I would stick to original AMG/Mercedes parts. Is this feasible and how much would the parts & labor cost?

BTW, the car would be purchased from Germany.

1. Is it possible to install the AMG quad exhaust if the S600 has standard (non-AMG/non-sport) bumpers i.e. is stock? What do you estimate cost of parts & labor?

2. Is it possible to install AMG front and rear bumpers? What do you estimate cost of parts & labor? The problem is that there are only few AMG-look/sport S600 available so I would probably be buying a stock S600 with no appearance modifications.

3. Do you think that if I install above #1. and/or #2. that it would void my warranty if I used original AMG/Mercedes parts and if the installation would be performed by Mercedes Niederlassung i.e. a Mercedes authorized dealer.

Please don't reply that it would be easier just to purchase an S55 as my intention is to create an "S600 with AMG-look" i.e. S65 AMG-look. Sadly, the S65 is currently out of my price range. S55 tuning to achieve S600 performance is also out of the question due to the better equipment of the S600 and warranty issues.

Thank you in advance for any help!

if you are going to take it to the dealer anyways, just call the dealer to get all of your prices. a friend of mine has a cls500 AMG becaue the cls55 was not available at the time. he has the quad exhaut and body kit so now he is probably the only guy on the planet with cls500 on the left of the trunk, and /////AMG on the right side

IMO the only reason AMG should be in the back of your car is if your engine is AMG, it doesn't matter what body kit/brakes/exhaust.

Butchen, you're time out for seven days.
The same will go for anyone else who personally attacks another member.

Thanks VRAA for keeping this forum a little civilized here
Can't stand all this bickering

After all this crap, I still haven't seen ER1 got any help.
I'll answer to what I know from reading on this board.

I've been wanting to do the AMG sports package on my stock S500. As long as you don't place an amg badge, you're not a poser let alone changing the emblems to a 55/65-I can't stand that!
Pricewise I don't know but it won't be inexpensive for sure.

In my situation since the 220s depreciated big time, it's better for me to sell and upgrade to an s55

To answer your questions, all the stock parts can be swapped out and replaced with the amg kit along with the quad 55 exhaust.
I believe a member dxtmob did that.

Body kit and exhaust "shouldn't " void any warranty.

See if you can post a "Want to buy" in the classifieds.

Hmmm

This is the only thread that BUTCHEN has posted in that hasn't been closed. I hope a mod would just look through his previous posts and realize he should be banned permanently. The last thing this forum needs is another loud mouthed punk who thinks he has everything and belittles every member who posts in the same thread, which always ends in being locked.

He thinks he's a richest guy on the forum who owns the things we can only dream about yet in reality, he's a lonely realtor trying to make a buck in a crappy market somewhere in Irvine, CA What a tool

you speak a lot of sense. the "mods" removed most of his posted his abuse from this thread already. the forum needs to wise up to laughable ladies like butchen. 3 55s, didn't fancy a 65 big fella, yeah right

Interestingly, I've found the mods respond almost instantly when they feel there is a threat to their sponsors, but do little when it comes to personal attacks and inappropriate posts. I guess what started out being all about the drivers ended up being all about the money. I hope in the future the mods take as aggressive a role in removing discourteous posters.
