Ignorance is bliss
After making a right turn off the busy highway I checked my mirrors to see if anyone was following. Two more checks of the mirror before someone made the same turn off the highway. On the fourth check of the mirror the headlights were much closer and starting to drift into the left lane to pass. Nay I say, as I planted the right foot on the floor. The Trans-am got within two to three car lengths before the S55 equalized his speed and quickly out paced him to 110. It really isn't fair, but oh how fun. Into the straight I eased back off and allowed him to catch up. Once he was collected on the bumper it was time to show off again. Hard on the throttle and into an 80 mph sweeper holding it on the floor until reality set in for my opponent. With his tail tucked, he squeamishly made another turn to escape his torment. I look over to the wife and say, "he didn't have a chance". "Who", she says?
